Daniel Gagnon, CPA founded the business in 1967. He started his accounting career working on tax returns and general business financial operations. He later expanded the practice to include personal financial planning to better service all clients. Dan has transitioned to retirement after over 50 years of serving clients and has joined the team at SCORE to assist new businesses and entrepreneurs to making their ideas a successful reality. Dan earned a Bachelors of Arts in Accounting from Sienna College in 1963. He retired from the Army in 1986 as an LTC. Dan lives in Stone Ridge with his wife Marge. He enjoys watching football, playing golf with the ROMEOS, and spending time with his grandchildren.
David Gagnon, CPA joined Daniel D. Gagnon, CPA PC in 1989 and became a managing partner in 2013. He started his accounting career working on individual and corporate tax returns and general business financial operations. As the practice expanded he assumed responsibilities of conducting and supervising audits of not-for-profit companies, recently expanding to fire districts with the audit requirements established by the NYS Comptroller’s Office. David has also developed a personal financial planning practice to augment his ability to provide a full level of service to clients by developing a financial plan for the client’s future.
He received his AA in Business Administration from SUNY Ulster in 1987 and a BA in Accounting from Siena College in 1989. He graduated from the United States Army War College in 2014 with a Master’s in Strategic Studies.
David has been a member of the NY Army National Guard since 1986 and currently commands the Regional Training Institute at Camp Smith in Peekskill, NY and has been selected for promotion to Colonel. He has deployed multiple times in support of NYS during emergency responses which include the World Trade Center during 9/11 and more recently Hurricane Sandy. David has supported the federal mission overseas including deployments to Iraq and training missions to Israel, South Africa, Brazil and Peru. David has been a member of the Cottekill Volunteer Fire Company since 1991 and has risen to the position of Assistant Fire Chief. He was also selected to serve on the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce Board starting in 2015. David lives in Stone Ridge with wife Nora and daughter Andrea. He enjoys most sports with his favorites being soccer, football, basketball and golf.
Eleanor Ryan, Office Manager
Ellie joined the Firm in 2009 providing administrative support to the Partners and Professional staff. She attended SUNY Ulster, is a graduate of Ulster County Leadership Development, and is Treasurer of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. Ellie is a Licensed Notary Public. Ellie enjoys reading, equestrian support for her daughter, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. She has lived in Hurley with her husband and daughter for over 30 years.
Paula Minew, Staff Accountant, Bookkeeper, QuickBooks Advisor
Paula joined the Firm in 2008 with 30 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience, 17 years owning her own business. She is proficient in payroll, sales tax, and highway use tax. With diverse expertise in bookkeeping she provides business and corporate income tax planning and reporting. She assists clients in business specific customized QuickBooks set up and training. She is Treasurer for Olive First Aid Unit Inc. and provides corporate accounting services for many local businesses. Paula enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with her husband and grandchildren.
Travis Rask, Staff Accountant
Travis began with the firm during 2013 as a staff auditor and during 2014 advanced to a staff accountant. Travis is the lead auditor for the firm under Dan and Dave. In addition to being an auditor he also does individual and corporate tax returns as well as bookkeeping, payroll tax, and sales tax. Travis earned an Associate’s Degree in Business from SUNY Ulster. He then moved on and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Siena College in Loudonville, New York. He is currently working toward obtaining his CPA. Travis coaches youth basketball in the Kingston community and is a member of The John A. Coleman Development Board. He enjoys playing basketball, golf, and spending time with friends and family.
Paul Conte, Client Service Associate
Paul joined the firm in 2015 after retiring from the military. He has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics and an MBA in Finance from Marist College. His expertise is in personal and corporate financial management. Paul has not completely transitioned to a retirement sport. Instead, he chooses to continue racing motorcycles in his spare time.
Lisa Gillman, Office Support
Lisa recently joined the Firm providing administrative support and humor. She has an Associates Degree from SUNY Ulster. Lisa is a Licensed Massage Therapist who enjoys photography and spending time with friends and family.
Alyssa Farrell, Payroll Administrator
Alyssa joined the firm in 2016. She handles payroll for our business clients, bookkeeping for the fire districts we are associated with, as well as assists clients and office staff with tax preparation. Originally from Stone Ridge Alyssa now calls Accord home where she lives with her husband, full of life and always on the go son Mason, and three dogs that keep her busy. She enjoys gardening, scrapbooking, spending time with family and friends but above all her passion is being a mom.
Eileen Roglieri, Bookkeeper
Eileen joined the firm in 2016 after graduating SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance. She is a licensed Notary Public. She assists our clients in bookkeeping, sales tax, payroll taxes and highway use tax. Eileen enjoys traveling, attending concerts, football and her Jack Russell, Beckham.
